  1.                            Sudden Infant Death
  2. SYMPTOMS. There are no warning signs. The death is without prior warning and
  3. completely unexpected.
  4. CAUSES. The causes are uncertain. In a small percentage of cases there have
  5. been unsuspected indications of severe infection, heart and nervous system
  6. abnormalities. More boys are affected than girls. Death takes place during
  7. sleep in the first 3 or 4 months of life in most cases.
  8. TREATMENT. Consult your doctor.
  9. .Counseling from trained persons and other parents of the same experience.
